Umurimo w’umwijima
Umwijima ni urugingo rworoshye rugizwe n’agahu korohereye n’imihore imeze nk’umubumbe w’amaraso, n’imitsi isohora ibikenewe no kwinjiza ibyo kubikwa n’urugingo rufite ubushobozi bwo kwica uburozi buje mu ntunga-mubiri.

Umwijima ufite umutwe w’abasirikare witwa fagositoze (phagocytosis) ushinzwe guhekenya amaraso n’abasirikare basaziye ku rugamba kandi bashinzwe no kwica imyanda. Umwijima ni wo ukoresha vitamine D, uruhu, umwijima n’impyiko byifataniriza hamwe gukoresha vitamine D.
